Changing your current mailing address

Please see Understanding Mailing Addresses before you begin.

Your utility company controls whether you can enter your new address yourself in CWA, or must instead contact them to enter it for you.

To access the Mailing Address page, click Customer Profile > Mailing Address.

You can also click the Mailing Address row on the Account Information page.

To enter your own new mailing address in CWA

  1. If needed, enter the appropriate name in the Attention field.

  2. Use either the following group of fields OR the Number, Address Line 2, and Address Line 3 fields to enter the details of your street address:

    Street

    Enter the street number, such as 105B

    Pre

    If needed, select an area indicator such as Northwest to precede the street's name.

    Name

    Enter the name of the street, such as Main

    Suffix

    If needed, select the street type, such as Avenue

    Post

    If needed, select an area indicator such as Northwest to follow the street's name.

    Unit If needed, select the unit type, such as apartment or PO Box.
  3. In the City field, enter the city.

  4. Click anywhere in the State field, and then select the state.

  5. In the Zip field, enter the Zip Code of the new address.

  6. Click Save.

To ask the company to update your mailing address

  1. Enter the following information.

  2. Click Send.
  3. Click OK when the system displays the confirmation numbers for the contact and task it generated in response to your request.

The system adds the request to the Message History list beneath the Submit button. This list includes the date, request type, and request status for each message. To see the details of a specific message, including its reference numbers, click anywhere on the message.
