Welcome to Customer Web Access

Customer Web Access is a set of web pages designed to interact with your utility company's Customer Information System database.

CWA is designed for residential users. It offers you true power and flexibility in customizing your utility services from your own home computers, without requiring the services of a customer service representative. Since the application operates in real-time, you can register and log in to CWA just as soon as your account is created in Banner CIS.

Through CWA, you have access to the following:

Accounts

These pages show the current state of each of your accounts, including current balance, due date, and past due amounts. You can add each of your accounts to your online access.

Billing

Customer Web Access can show you graphic presentations of your consumption histories and allow you to explore the possibilities of alternate budget billing plans offered by the utility. CWA will run calculations of simulated consumption and simulated budgets. The flexibility of being able to play with data and explore your options gives you the power to make decisions, a key component of customer satisfaction.

Current bill history is also available in the secured Customer Web Access environment. Depending upon your utility company's configuration, you may be able to set up a Budget Billing plan and view simulations of your bills.

Payments

Customer Web Access provides a direct link to a third-party payment site (as determined by the utility company).

You can view your payment history, and (depending upon your utility company's configuration), might be able to create a special payment arrangement to assist in paying bills.

Customer Profile

It's easy to change e-mail addresses, street addresses, and telephone numbers through the Customer Profile pages. You can choose from a variety of security questions to protect the confidentiality of your information.

Services

You can quickly enter service requests that are processed through the database. Customer Service representatives are notified and service calls can be scheduled. You can also view a history of your service orders and can arrange to disconnect or transfer service.

Assistance for Users

CWA offers three levels of help for users.

  1. CWA is designed with a simple, intuitive interface to enable you to use the system right away.

  2. At the top of each page is a brief introduction to that page's purpose and behavior.

  3. At the end of the introductory text on each page is a NEED HELP? hyperlink. When clicked, CWA launches a second instance of the browser and displays step-by-step instructions for using the page you are currently on.
