The first time you access CWA, you must create a username and password, as follows:
In the Account Number field, enter your account number exactly as it appears on your utility bill.
If you have multiple accounts, enter just one. You can add the others later by using the Add Accounts page.
In the Username field, enter a name that you want to use to log into CWA in the future. This name can be up to 30 characters, but cannot contain any spaces.
In the Password field, enter a password that you will use to log into CWA in the future.
Passwords are case sensitive in CWA. If the password you enter is already in use by another account holder, CWA will prompt you to choose another password.
CWA will also prompt you if the password you have chosen does not meet the requirements of the utility. For example, it might be required to contain a certain minimum number of upper case letters, lower case letters, numbers, and special characters.
In the Verify Password field, retype your password exactly as you entered it in the Password field.
Click Continue.
If you have a consumer account, fill out the Last four digits of SS# field.
Your utility company controls whether this field is displayed and required.
If you have a business account, in the Last four digits of Federal Employer ID field, enter the last four digits of the ID.
Your utility company controls whether this field is displayed and required.
In the Last four digits of DL# field, enter the last four digits of your driver's license number.
Note that this field may not appear, depending upon the way your utility company's configuration.
Click Register Account to continue to the Registration - User Preferences page.
In the Email Address field, enter your e-mail address.
In the Retype Email Address field, enter the same e-mail address. This must be identical to the one you entered in the previous step.
Click the Paperless Bill checkbox if you want your bill to be sent via e-mail rather than through the regular mail.
This is an optional field and may not display, depending upon your company's configuration settings.
Choose a Security Question from the list in the dropdown field.
Enter the Security Answer for use with the Security Question.
Click the Submit button to complete the registration.
